SCHOOL TOURS & PROGRAMS
School Tour
Reservation Information & Guidelines
· Your
tour will be scheduled on the basis of the availability of the site
& staff on your requested tour date.
Every effort will be made to accommodate your first choice date, but
emailing a request does not guarantee confirmation of your first
choice. All tours are scheduled on a first-come, first-served
basis, and all reservation requests will be processed in the order
that they are received.
· There
is no fee for tours, and no donation is expected from school groups.
· All
groups of 10 or more (including chaperones)
must schedule site tours in advance.
· Home
School groups must include all students, chaperones, drivers, and
siblings in the total estimated number for their group.
· The
classroom teacher(s), the children attending the class, and their
chaperones are welcome on the tours. Chaperones are strongly
encouraged not to bring along their child's sibling(s) or any
other children for whom they are providing day care.
·
Please advise the
chaperones in advance that they should not interrupt the tour guide,
make comments to others while the guide is talking, nor touch
anything in the house unless authorized to do so by the tour guide.
· Bus
parking is permitted for all programs/tours (except Snap Apple) in
the gravel area at the north of the site (west of the Barn/Visitor
Center).
Please ask
the driver to turn off the bus engine while the bus is parked.
· Please
allow 3 weeks to receive your tour schedule confirmation.
Contact us ASAP if you
have not heard from us by that date.
